WordSpace Series: Write it Out

Monday, July 23, 5:00-6:30 PM
Room 028, Logan Center for the Arts
915 E 60th St

Led by: Rhonda Wheatley a Chicago-based multidisciplinary artist and energy healer. Her sculptures, written works, interactive performances, and workshops are grounded in the speculative and metaphysical, and through them she seeks to cultivate healing and consciousness expansion. Wheatley recently had a solo exhibition at the Hyde Park Art Center and performed as part of The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago’s In Progress series. She’s facilitated workshops at Chicago Artists Coalition’s LAUNCH Residency, the Teaching Artist Summit, Links Hall, ACRE, Gallery 400 and more.

This workshop will help participants to use writing to achieve the creative breakthroughs and shifts in perspective necessary to envision the future you want to create. You’ll explore tools and writing exercises for releasing past experiences and self-doubts that may be holding you back, as well as practices for lifting your energy to keep you inspired. Bring a journal or notebook, something to write with, and an open mind!
