The Spring Festival is the most important holiday celebrated by not only Chinese communities across the world, but also people of many other Asian countries. The Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at UChicago has continuously organized the annual Spring Festival Gala for the past 20 years. Every year, there are more than 800 people attending the event, coming from all over the Greater Chicago Area. Over the years it has become both an important tradition among the local Chinese communities and a venue for Chinese students and residents in the area to convene and celebrate. It is also a great opportunity for domestic and international students on campus to indulge in an authentic Chinese cultural feast.
